Moodle is Saarland University’s central learning platform. Moodle offers online learning spaces where university teaching staff can provide students with learning resources and with activities to encourage communication, collaboration and self-directed study. Students can access Moodle courses wherever and whenever they want and can use the resources to meet their own personal learning requirements.

The browser-based plagarism detection service turnitin allows users to identify similarities between submitted and already published texts. All members of the Saarland University can access the service by using their personal UdS identifier.
The previously implemented turnitin Moodle plugin had to be disabled due to technical difficulties. Using turnitin directly via the turnitin portal is still possible.
