Open Access im Saarland

The Servicestelle Open-Access-Saar, based at the Saarland University and State Library, supports Saarland’s research and educational institutions in the region with their Open Access activities as well as with the implementation of Open Access Initiative of Saarland.

Our main areas of activity are:

• Competence development, workshops and an event calendar for researchers and students on Open Access and Open Science topics
• Networking, consulting and support for Saarland institutions in in their Open Access activities
• Monitoring of Open Access publication output in Saarland

Other goals:

• Proof of the possibility of establishing a common publication fund for diverse institutions in Saarland
• Pilot project for the utilization of OA publications in Saarland companies.
