Retrospective digitization as a task of the State Library

On SULB digital, Saarland University and State Library offers you free access to a continuously growing number of digitized works.
The focus is on literature that has been published in the Saarland or has a content-related connection to the Saarland.
The offer, which is currently under construction, includes monographs, journals and newspapers. Currently, only copyright-free monographs are digitized, journals and newspapers up to the year of publication 1945.

A thematically complete overview can be found on SULB digital in the collections (navigation bar above).
Some content priorities are reflected in the tiles. Collections and tiles will be expanded as needed.

By structuring the content of the digitized material, making most of it searchable in full text by means of OCR text recognition, and offering additional value-added services (GND connection), the SULB makes it easier for researchers to access and analyze the documents provided and provides them with expanded research opportunities.
