New from February 2026: Open guided tours

 

From 2 February 2026, the Saarland University and State Library will offer weekly guided tours of the library every Monday from 2 p.m.
The tours will explain what the SULB has to offer, how to research literature and how to borrow it. During the approximately one-hour tour, participants will take a look at the large reading room, learn about the textbook collection and visit the book storage area in the basement, which is only shown as part of guided tours. They will also gain an insight into the SULB's borrowing and return system and the work of its staff.

No registration is required. The meeting point is in front of the information desk in the foyer of the SULB.

Dates: from 2 February 2026
Every Monday at 2 p.m.
Duration: approx. 60 minutes

Guided tours on other dates or in other languages can also be arranged on request.
