On average, women still earn 18% less than men (gender pay gap). In addition, in many cases there is the loss of work due to taking on family responsibilities.

To mark the occasion, the UdS Equal Opportunities Office, the Business and Professional Women Club Saarbrücken (BPW) e.V. and the SULB organised a book table,
where information on the activities of the BPW and the University's Equal Opportunities Office can also be found.
