Reading canon of Romance Studies now in the open access area of the Philological Library Romance Studies!

The reading canon on French, Spanish and Italian literature compiled by the chairs has moved to the ground floor (building B1 1).

There are works that one should have read if one deals with literature. Gustave Flaubert's "Madame Bovary" is known from film adaptations, but the novel conveys a "head cinema" that is at least equal, if not superior. You will find "I promessi sposi" by Alessandro Manzoni in the literary canon as well as "Don Quixote de la Mancha" by Cervantes. The French-language canon is currently being supplemented by contemporary literature from the 21st century and francophone texts.

You can also borrow the French, Francophone and Italian titles in building A5 3, room 1.09 in front of Prof. Oster-Stierle's office. We hope you enjoy reading them!
