AI tools have long since become part of our everyday lives and university teaching. In this training session, we will take a look at what AI is in principle, how it works at a basic level, and what opportunities and limitations this entails. The introduction is deliberately kept accessible and requires no prior technical knowledge. Only those who understand what happens inside the AI ‘black box’ are in a position to make informed decisions.

You will also learn about various types of AI tools designed specifically for literature reviews. Concrete examples will give you an insight into how they work and enable you to decide when and to what extent AI tools are useful in the research process.
