Prehistory and Early History

The library is located on the 2nd floor and in the basement. The stock currently comprises about 25,000 monographs and about 780 journal titles. Thematic collection focuses on the Neolithic and Copper Age, Iron Age (archaeology of the Celts and Germanic tribes), Early History (Merovingian period), archaeology of the Saar-Lor-Lux area, Southern and Western Germany, the Carpathian Basin and Eastern Europe. The registration of the holdings in the OPAC has not yet been completed, which is why a card catalogue is still available for research on older book titles.
