The Medical Library

The Medical Department of the Saarland University and State Library (SULB) has supplied its patrons at the university site in Homburg with literature and information since the university was founded. It is not a departmental or faculty library, but part of the central university facility SULB.

As the only library on the Homburg campus, it acts as a service provider and liaison for all the facilities available.

The Medical Department is a lending library with a textbook collection. In addition to print media, access to electronic media and databases is offered on a wide range, which are made available campus-wide and also at home via remote access (VPN).

Most of the printed media are located centrally at the library, but there are also additional locations for special literature collections, which have to be kept at hand in individual clinics for their specific needs.
